An exhibition and sale of a collection of still-life paintings will be presented by young Gozitan artist Justin Falzon at the Calypso Hotel in Marsalforn between 15 July and 15 August.
The presentation will include some paintings on which the artist has been working in Florence, where he is currently attending a two-year course at the Lorenzo De? Medici Art Institute.
The collection being presented at Calypso Hotel is unique in quality because it is the product of a period during which the artist was able to develop his artistic qualities, establish his personal style and gain a mastery of colours.
The various paintings demonstrate the creat-ivity and inventiveness of the young artist, who is establishing himself as another talented Gozitan artist emerging on the local scene.
Mr Falzon has participated in various collective exhibitions but he has also had two personal exhibitions, one at the Torri ta? Kenuna in 2001 and the other at the Hilton Malta, in January 2006. The latter, entitled In Search of the Soul: A Portrait, consisted of a total of 60 portraits.
This event is being sponsored by the Gozo Ministry, Nadur local council, the Calypso Hotel, Gozo Channel Co. Ltd, HSBC Gozo, Cini Meat Market, Gozo, and Magro Brothers (Foods) Ltd.
