Enemalta Corporation has said that there has been no price increase for cylinder gas. It issued the clarification after receiving reports that a gas distributor was requesting more than the established price.
The corporation said it has also contacted the GRTU, Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises, and the Malta Resources Authority to take action against the offending distributor.
The official gas prices are €4.40 for a 12kg cylinder, €6.73 for a 15kg cylinder and €12 for a 25kg cylinder. The corporation said that consumers may telephone freephone 80072224 if they experience any problems.
