Antonio Sciortino Sculptures in Gozo

Sculpture.jpg22 bronze, marble and plaster sculptures made by famed Maltese sculptor Antonio Sciortino will be exhibited at the Exhibition Hall at the Ministry for Gozo from the 12th of August until the 9th of September. This exhibition, which is being organised by the Ministry for Gozo and Heritage Malta, is taking place on the 60th anniversary of the sculptor's death, who in 1947 donated most of his works to the Maltese nation. Although a number of these works can be permanently found on exhibition at the National Museum of Arts in Valletta, this is the first time that this artist's works are being exhibited in Gozo. This exhibition is to be officially inaugurated by his Excellency Dr. Edward Fenech Adami, President of Malta, on Saturday 11th August. The opening hours of this exhibition are as follows: Monday to Friday - from 8.00am to 12.30pm Saturday and Sunday - from 9.00am to midday On Monday the 13th and Tuesday the 14th of August, the exhibition will be also open from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. Entrance is free of charge.
