In February 2008, total cruise passenger traffic amounted to 2,464, a decrease of 576 passengers or 18.9 per cent over the same month in 2007. There were no embarkations from or landings in Malta in this month.
During January-February 2008, Total cruise passenger traffic amounted to 4,657, an increase of 4.9 per cent compared to the same period of 2007. Total traffic equalled the number of transits since there were no embarkations from and landings in Malta during the reference period. Same-day visitors from EU countries accounted for 93.0 per cent of total traffic.
There was just one cruise liner which called in February and one during January.
