EF Language Travel is a private company set up in 1965 in Sweden with the intention of breaking down barriers of language and culture. More than 40 years later it has become the world's largest privately owned language organisation.
As a company we believe that there is no better way to learn a language than to spend some time in a country where the language is practised on a daily basis. Thus for more than 10 years we have organised language trips to Malta for thousands of students from all over Europe who want to learn English here. Building on our success in Malta, this summer we are planning to send a few groups to Gozo during the months of July and August. These students will be living with local families and thus we are looking for a number of families in Gozo who want to join our team as Host Families for our students.
What does it mean to be a host family?
If you have a spare bedroom, you can start earning money by hosting EF students this summer. We will pay you a fee per week for hosting our students who are aged between 14 and 18 years.. You can host a maximum of 4 students at the same time. Your job involves keeping their bedroom clean and providing them with breakfast in the morning, a packed lunch to take with them to school and dinner in the evening. The rest of the time, these students will be with us - in school or on activities. Our students are accompanied by a leader of their own nationality. Thus if something happens to them - e.g. they need to see a doctor, all you would need to do is to call this leader on a local number which we will provide and she will take care of everything.
Several people ask "Do I need to pay National Insurance or tax on my income?". There is no National Insurance which needs to be paid and tax is only paid if the income exceeds EUR2,300 annually.
Interested? Call us now on 21351581 and we can give you more information. We can even come and meet you at home to give you more details.
Give a chance to yourself and your family to earn some extra income this summer in a very easy way. At the same time you'll enjoy the experience of sharing your home with another european teenager. You will definitely not regret it!!
