Mr. Xuereb was presented with a certificate commemorating this award by Mr Karl Spiteri, Manager Corporate Branding and Quality in the presence of Prof Anton Buhagiar from the Faculty of Mathematics within the University of Malta.
Speaking during the presentation Mr. Spiteri said, “The concept of the BOV Prize in Mathematics is to promote excellence in the subject and aims to reward those students who work hardest and achieve the best results. Education forms a very important part of Bank of Valletta’s commitment towards the local community and is one of the main pillars within the Bank’s extensive Community Programme.”

Prof Buhagiar also congratulated Mr Xuereb for his achievement and said, “Andre was a very consistent student and always achieved top results. Through this award, held in conjunction with the Faculty of Science of the University of Malta, we encourage students to strive to achieve good results.
