Enemalta Corporation would like to inform the general public that the ‘old’ type screw on type cylinder is gradually being phased out in favor of the ‘new’ clip-on type valve which is both safer and easier to connect. This change will have no effect on the quantity and availability of cylinders on the market.
In order for the change to proceed smoothly the public is advised to cooperate with the local gas distributor before making any changes both to the gas regulator and the type and size of the cylinder.
In the meantime some customers will be advised by the gas distributors to change their system from the ‘old’ type regulator to the ‘new’ type and start receiving the cylinders with the new type valve. This change will have no effect on the price of the gas cylinders.
