Remaining updated with roaming charges has never been easier thanks to GO Mobile’s SMS roaming information service. This new service makes it possible for GO Mobile customers to request and receive information about applicable roaming rates and services directly on their mobile at the push of a button.
“Following the introduction of the Euro Tariff last July, our customers have discovered that it pays more in terms of cost and convenience to continue using their mobile phone while abroad. In view of this, we wanted to make it as convenient as possible for our customers to have access to all the tariff related information they need. The service is extremely easy to operate and works both if you send an SMS from Malta or else from the country where you’re already roaming,” GO Mobile’s head of Customer Care, Michael Balzan said.
GO Mobile clients who use the service whilst still in Malta, simply need to send an SMS to 50700700 with the name of the country they intend to roam in. If you are already abroad, all you need to do is send a blank SMS to the same number. You will then receive the applicable tariff in both Lm and Euros by return SMS.
“GO Mobile enjoys roaming relations with over 325 roaming partners all over the world, making this the most extensive roaming service available to Maltese mobile customers. The SMS information service is available from all those countries in which GO Mobile enjoys a roaming relation,” Mr Balzan said.
