The Ghajnsielem Local Council has recently published a 16-page magazine summarizing the works and projects done by the current administration during the last three years. The colourful publication is brimming with photographs and covers six main topics including embellishment projects, the environment, education, town twinning, activities and road resurfacing.
Of particular interest are the plans to build a Civic Centre in the area between the Ghajnsielem Football Club Premises and the Ghajnsielem Primary School. Mayor Francis Cauchi said that the centre “will offer a hub of services including the a medical clinic, a police station, a newly refurbished post office, the library, a conference hall and a new premises for the local council. In other words it is a one-stop service centre”. All necessary MEPA permits are in the final process of being approved and works should start within the next few weeks.
The publication is being distributed to all local households prior to the local council election this coming Saturday the 8th of March.
