In view of the decision, which will be taken by MEPA's Appeals Board on this coming Friday, the 11th of July, concerning the proposed development at the former Ulysses' Lodge site, in Ramla Bay, the Mayor and Councillors of the locality of Xaghra, Gozo, once again exhort the MEPA Board to dismiss the appeal and preserve this site of unique touristic and natural value.
The Ramla Bay and Valley is a site of extraordinary beauty which must be enjoyed by future generations in its natural state. Therefore, the Board must consider the global impact of the proposed development and reject it on legal and moral grounds.
Finally, Xaghra Council once again encourage the Prime Minister and all concerned parties to take all necessary measures which contribute to making Gozo an eco-island.
