Dear Sir,
Mr. Falzon is absolutely correct in stating that the list goes on: Indeed, the recent “greening” of the body politic clearly illustrates that no political party can realistically seek absolute single party rule without being intensely aware of the formidable electoral power that AD now brings to bear. The following catalogue of AD - The Green Party result focused accomplishments in this legislature demonstrably attests to that.
Given that Alternattiva Demokratika-The Green Party has achieved all this without parliamentary representation, envisage how much more our nation could accomplish with common sense coalition governance.
1) Ta’ Cenc: untouched.
2) Unjust Rent Law: now a national issue.
3) The cost of house property is now centre stage in national political debates.
4) AD’s renewable energy policy explicitly acknowledged nationwide.
5) Reduction in Gozo ferry rates.
6) Ix-Xaghra l-Hamra: saved. A legal status is now called upon.
7) Departure tax: imminent abolition.
No mention of marinas and golf courses in recent budget debates.
9) Imminent abolition of spring hunting.
10) Niche tourism such as eco and agro tourism are now under serious consideration.
11) The Gozo region is to remain one whole electoral district.
12) Empowerment of the environmental lobby.
13) Ramla l-Hamra permit: revoked.
14) Introduction of seaplane service To Gozo.
15) A Shuttle Bus service from Cirkewwa to MIA introduced.
16) Back Office work is now official policy of the party in government.
17) The number of Police Officers on duty in Gozo increased in 2007.
18) Back office work and Call Centres in Gozo.
19) Restoration projects finally implemented: the Xlendi and Marsalforn Towers.
20) Maternity leave increased by another week.
21) Government acknowledges AD’s policy that Gozo would benefit if the island were powered completely by alternative sources of energy.
22) Successfully raised national awareness of the economic and environmental sustainability of proposed projects in Gozo.
23) Direct transport links between Sicily and Gozo are now under serious consideration.
24) Afforestation and landscaping projects have been introduced in Gozo.
25) “I also agree with AD wholeheartedly on the issue of sustainability” - Dr. Lawrence Gonzi, when he was presented with the Green Party budget proposals in June last year.
26) Whistleblower Act is now centre stage in national political debates.
27) The toxic emissions from the Gozo hospital incinerator stopped following its closure.
28) Reform of Mepa on the national political agenda.
29) Reduction of the ‘environmental deficit’ now on the national political agenda.
Yours faithfully,
Oisin Jones-Dillon

MALTA And GOZO NEED AD desperately. If you want the same five years and then at the last month you will see the changes you always wanted, You must be crazy.
Have the changes the first month instead of the last month. Enjoy all the five years of the new government. Remember the doubts and unnecessary anxiety you were subjected to about pending important decisions. Who needs that! when a simple word would have spared you from all this trouble! However NO word was uttered about these decisions. Mr. Falzon cannot be more correct about the works of Alternattiva Demokratika. See the accomplishments without AD being in Parliament or in Government. This will be multiplied when AD is in Parliament and in Government. I want to see that work is a priority together with the environment, Tourism, Education, etc. I do not believe last minute conversions to the AD agenda. That is just to grab votes.
Vote AD Number 1 To enjoy the full YEARS of the next Government Worry Free.

10% devaluation. Has anybody calculated the increase in the cost of living the last few years? How much less can I buy with the same money?
Vote AD. No Gimmicks.

This has been accomplished while AD is not yet represented in the Maltese parliament.
Think about it, if AD were elected and represented! For sure Health services would be “free” (we pay tax to make up for them. Who is most conscientious from all parties, if not AD, the oldest and most informed party about the environment which is the space in which we live and on which our children’s quality of life depends?
