Gozo, the island of contrasts. Victoria - contrasts at their finest.
The Citadel was lit up years ago with a beautiful soft, yellowish light.
Lately new bells were bought and the bell tower refurbished. But the soft lighting was not deemed good anymore and someone decided to shine white light on the tower. Not one single person I have spoken to likes it.
Another jewel in Victoria boasts a dome, beautiful from inside and out. Once, this place of worship too was illuminated with a soft, yellowish light. You guessed it. Not anymore! The dome now “outshines” the rest of the church. Again, as with the Citadel, there is an imbalance of lighting.
What is going on?
