The Hunters Federation has issued a statement saying that, "following declarations by the executive director of Birdlife Malta (BLM) as reported in the media regarding incidents that occurred at Buskett to some cars, the Federation for Hunting and Conservation - Malta (FKNK) can clearly see the allegations that are being made by the same BLM official concerning certain media tools of the FKNK."
The FKNK added that "it warns BLM to be very careful in the manner by which it decides to insinuate any form of unfounded allegation since the FKNK will have absolutely no second thought to proceed in any legal manner against BLM in order to safeguard FKNK's integrity."
The Federation also said that "it would like to remind everyone that in a recent incident in which a car of one of its officials was vandalized, it refrained from pointing any fingers despite the fact that it could have freely done so." The Federation added that it would also like to state that "to date, the investigations of the Police on this latter case have still not delivered any positive outcome either."
The Federation concluded by saying that "it wants to win its battles in a legal manner and because it believes it has a legal and moral right, and not by using violence."
