St John The Baptist Square in Xewkija has received an award for 'The Most Attractive Village or Town Square in Malta and Gozo for 2006.'
The competition was organized by the Malta Tourism Authority. Chairman Mr Sam Mifsud and CEO Mr David Mifsud presented the award to the Mayor of Xewkija Dr Monica Vella.
