The Xewkija Local Council recently held its annual Animal Show at Bridegroom Street, Xewkija. In this years show there were categories for horses, dogs, cattle and sheep. Entered in the show were more than forty horses, around seventy sheep, thirty dogs, and four cattle.
The judges commented that they had a very difficult job judging the animals, but eventually selected the winners for each category. The Mayor, Dr Monica Vella, Deputy Mayor, Mr George Zammit, Councillor Donald Pace and Councillor Teddy Mizzi then presented trophies to the winners of each category.
