A 49-year-old man is in danger of losing his life after he fell from a height of three floors. The man fell from the roof of his own residence in Xaghra.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man was burning some fireworks on the roof when for unknown reasons he fell down his neighbour’s residence shaft. The accident occurred at around 1.30am this morning.
The man was rushed to the Gozo General Hospital and later was transported by helicopter to St Luke’s Hospital. He was certified to be seriously injured and in danger of dying.
Duty Magistrate Paul Coppini was informed of the case and several experts were appointed to assist in the inquiry. Investigations are under way.
