A car being driven by a 19-year-old man from Ghajnsielem was involved in an accident at Xaghra early this morning, the driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with a wall and electricity pole.
A young Ghajnsielem woman travelling as a passenger in the car is in danger of dying after suffering grievous injuries. She was rushed to the Gozo General Hosiptal where she was certified to be in danger of losing her life. The driver was also taken to hospital but was not in danger of dying.
Duty Magistrate Dr Anthony Ellul is heading an enquiry and several experts have been appointed.
Police investigations are continuing.
