Wirt Ghawdex Activities

Gozitan Heritage Society Wirt Ghawdex is holding a series of activities for which the general public is invited to attend.

A public lecture on the names of the towns and villages of Gozo by Dr Joe Zammit Ciantar will be held at the Conference Hall of the Gozo Ministry in Victoria tomorrow at 6.30pm. The lecture will be given in English and is free of charge.

On Saturday 1 April, a walk and visit to the Wardija Punic Sanctuary will be organised by the same society. Participation is by booking only and a token donation will be expected from participants. Another public lecture, this time on “the Gozo boat” will be held on Friday 28 April also at the Conference Hall of the ministry. The lecture will be delivered by maritime expert Joseph Muscat and will start at 6.30pm and is also free of charge.
