Voting time has been extended by one hour and polling stations will be closing at 11pm instead of 10pm, the Electoral Commission has announced.
The decision was taken after queues built up in several localities, especially those where local elections are also being held.
A spokesman for the commission said the extension applies to all polling stations.
The Electoral commission said that anyone still in line waiting to vote at 11pm will still be able to vote.
The extension applies to all polling booths across Gozo and Malta.
