For the first time ever, Vodafone will be awarding its customers’ favourite local artist with a prestigious award at the Coca Cola Malta Music Awards. The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 23rd November at 8:30pm at MFCC, Ta’ Qali.
In the lead up to the awards Vodafone is offering free Full Track Music Downloads (FTMDs) of all local music available on Vodafone live. The Maltese music section on Vodafone live! features Winter Moods, Ira Losco, Ivan Filletti, Bitterside, Scream Daisy, JJoy, Ruby and Plan Zero.
When customers download their favourite local song, they will automatically be voting for their preferred local artist. All music downloads through Vodafone live!, including the past ones made since January 2007 will be counted as part of the vote. The local artist with the highest downloads will win the Vodafone 2007 Music Award.
FTMDs of all local music will be free of charge between the 1st and 22nd November, the eve of the Awards. Browsing on Vodafone live! is also free of charge. To download FTMDs of local artists, customers need to access the music tracks menu on Vodafone live! with a 3G handset.
Vodafone Music Jam Club members may purchase two tickets for Lm4 / € 9.32 each instead of Lm6 / € 13.97 each. New customers joining Vodafone will receive full refund for their purchased ticket and when Vodafone customers introduce new customers to Vodafone, they will both receive full refund for their tickets. The full refund on the tickets will be given through equal monthly installments directly onto the customers’ account.
Since 1995, the Malta Music Awards has been awarding local artists for their hard work and especially their music. This year’s event will include performances by the best local talent as well as the participation of foreign special guests.
