A nineteen-year-old man from Victoria has been granted bail after he plead not guilty to stealing cash and other items from a car in Victoria on Thursday afternoon.
Magistrate Anthony Ellul heard Jethro Camilleri plead not guilty to stealing cash, personal items and computer and hi-fi equipment from the car.
The owner of the car had noticed that somebody was stealing from his car but the thief managed to escape with the stolen items in another vehicle.
Mr Camilleri was later apprehended by police in Fontana, the alleged stolen items were recovered elsewhere.
Magistrate Ellul granted the accused bail on a personal guarantee of €2,000.
Police Inspectors Josric Mifsud and Frank Tabone prosecuted.
