Next Friday, the 27th of June, the Bishop of Gozo, Mgr Mario Grech, will be conferring the Deaconal Ordination on three seminarians from the parish of Xaghra, Anthony Bajada, Joseph Curmi and Richard N. Farrugia. A Solemn Pontifical High Mass will be held at the Cathedral in Victoria and starts at 6.00pm.
Prior to this, on Thursday the 26th, a preparative vigil of prayer will be held at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Major Seminary in Victoria, which starts at 9.00pm. Radju Maria, on 102.3 FM Stereo, will be broadcasting the prayer vigil live.
Following the prayer vigil, there will be a silent Eucharistic adoration of the Blessed Sacrament throughout the night in the chapel of the Seminary.
The people of God are invited to celebrate the joy of such an occasion with the three men for the dioceses in Gozo and all the Church, whilst it prays for them and for more such vocations.
This year the dioceses of Gozo do not have any candidates for Priesthood.
