The St James private hospital at Ghajnsielem has announced that it is to close down.
The hospital opened for business in 2003 offering a wide variety of medical services and day patient operations, some of which had only previously been available in Malta.
The reason given for the closure is a lack of sufficient business to warrant the further investment of both time and money.
