A 48-year-old Scottish woman drowned after finding herself in difficulties while diving near Dwejra with members of her family, the police have said.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon at around 1 p.m.
The woman was rushed to the Gozo General Hospital, where she was certified dead on arrival.
Duty Magistrate Paul Coppini has appointed a number of referees to help him in his inquiry.
