Travelers crossing between Malta and Gozo by ferry will benefit from reduced prices between 5.15pm and midnight from tomorrow until May 2007. Drivers will pay Lm3.60 instead of Lm6.75, whilst passenger prices will be reduced from Lm2.00 to Lm0.60.
The new scheme was announced by Minister for Investment, Industry and Information Technology Austin Gatt last night.
The scheme will also apply to feasts celebrated during this six month period. Another initiative offered by the scheme is a fee refund if a traveler spends Lm10 at a Gozitan restaurant or hotel taking part in the scheme.
Earlier this year a similar scheme was launched offering reductions for passengers and vehicles on voyages between Monday and Thursday from 7.00pm and midnight.
