Renaissance Productions Ltd has just concluded negotiations with Juventus to secure the exclusive rights to represent the Juventus Soccer School in the Maltese islands. The first Juventus Soccer School will be located at Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria, Gozo, directors Anton Tabone and Amabile Zammit announced.
The Juventus Soccer School shall be officially inaugurated by Marco Marchi, International Soccer Schools Manager at a special ceremony to be held on 11th January 2008 at Don Bosco Oratory. Training sessions under the guidance of Juventus Soccer School Head Coach, Alessandro Ramello, for children aged 8-16 years will take place prior to the opening ceremony. Two Juventus players are expected to be present.
Based on the success of Juventus’ name in Italian and international football (13 million fans in Italy, 43 million fans in Europe, 170 million fans worldwide), and based on the positive values that JSS attempt to instil in the kids that enrol in their various programs, RPL directors are confident that the JSS experience in Malta and Gozo will leave the desired benefits amongst local football enthusiasts.
The values mentioned in the JSS mission statement are to communicate and represent Juventus in every activity, in and off the pitch creating a unique Juventus experience; to protect children safety through the creation of an internal policy of “Child Protection”; to select and coach the staff to respect and promote the high standards of Juventus Soccer School in teaching methods and general behaviour; to create the best environment in which learning takes place: less exasperation, more fun; and to develop the technical characteristics of the players.
The JSS is organised in partnership with “Nike” - the world’s leading sports brand.
The curriculum - Each project follows a specific technical - sports program based on the JSS model. Each curriculum is developed by the Juventus University ‘Centro Studi’ so as to respond to the specific technical and social requirements of each project. The ‘Centro Studi’ is composed of Italian recognised professionals. Juventus own the first Soccer University in the world. Courses in the University are addressed to Coaches with a coaching certificate and to those who have a degree in Physical Education.
University Courses are held at the Juventus Training Centre in Vinovo (Turin) but could also be held in the respective country where the JSS is to be set up.
Juventus Summer Camps - Juventus have been successfully organising Juventus Summer Camps in a number of different countries whereby courses are organised over a 2-week period during vacation time - generally in June/July/August. Boys and girls aged 8-16 years attend these camps accompanied by their respective families who take the opportunity to take a vacation during the time the kids are attending the JSS.
