New factory inaugurated at Xewkija

Please click to enlarge Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono recently inaugurated the new Pamargan Limited factory at the Xewkija industrial estate. Pamargan Limited is a specialist manufacturer of bonded seals and is a preferred supplier for the majority of Europe's principal users of bonded seals. The Prime Minister said that he was pleased that Pamargan had decided to invest in Malta and Gozo. He also praised the skills of the Maltese and Gozitan workers who are facing the new challenges of increasing globalisation. Dr Gonzi went on to say that satisfaction is also derived knowing this investment by another multi-national company was facilitated through our membership of the European Union. These EU structural funds have assisted us in enhancing Gozo as a place to do business, he continued. As an EU member, Malta has also gained more recognition internationally and this has served to enhance our political, social and economic stature. Minister Debono said she was very pleased with the investment that Pamargan had made here in Gozo. She added that this goes to prove that foreign investments such as Pamargan Malta Limited can not only survive, on an island the size of Gozo, but more than that, thrive healthily in the face of increased global competition, benefiting from an adequate framework of support and a highly-competitive human resource base. She concluded by wishing the company every success for the future.
