The fourth edition of the Golden Cross International Singing Festival is to be held at the La Grotta complex at Xlendi from the 24th to the 27th of July. The festival will consist of a junior contest for children aged between 6 and 15 years old and another competition for those aged between 16 and 35 years old. The organisers say that the aim of the festival is to promote local talent internationally and that individuality, creativity and talent are the main qualities they will be looking for in the participants. An international jury will select the finalists and the winning songs of both contests. The submitted songs must be original, never published before and not performed in any contest or broadcast on radio and television. The closing date for applications is the 30th of April.
