The government has announced that it is about to consolidate a deal with HSBC to set up a service and call centre in Gozo, which will employ an estimated 50 people. The announcement was made by the Minister for IT & Investment, Austin Gatt, during the Nationalist Party's General Council.
The service and call centre is expected to be located in the Xewkija industrial estate and operations may start as early as January 2008, with the recruitment of employees starting next month and training planned for December.
