Following Cabinet approval, Austin Gatt, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications, has appointed Mr Simon Vella as Executive Chairman of the Malta Transport Authority (ADT).
Mr Vella will be assisted by Mr David Stellini who will be serving as Deputy Chairman.
The new Board of the ADT also includes Directors Mr Chris Degiorgio, Mr Malcolm Custò, Mr Winston Zahra Jr, Ms Veronica Zammit Tabona and Ms Helen Camilleri.
To improve the overseeing structure on the building and maintenance of roads, a specific Board has also been set up to function within the authority and oversee the business of the National Infrastructure Directorate, responsible for roads. This Board will be chaired by Mr Joe Fenech Conti.
Mr Fenech Conti will be assisted by Mr John Borg who will be serving as Deputy Chairman.
The new Board overseeing the Directorate responsible for Roads will also include Directors Mr Sammy Rapa, Mr Jonathan Vella and Mr Ray Busuttil.
