MUT officials conclude three-day Gozo visit

Malta Union of Teachers
Malta Union of Teachers officials have just concluded a three day visit between the 21st and 23rd of May. John Bencini ( President) and Kevin Bonello ( Senior Vice-President) said they had a very fruitful meeting with Gozo MUT members on the 21st of May at Ghajnsielem Primary. The meeting was extremely well-attended and members had the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarifications, mainly in connection with the recent Reform Agreement.

The MUT said it would like to thank Chev. Frank Gatt (Gozo College Principal) and the School Head, Ms. Pauline Grech for offering the use of the School Hall for this occasion.

The MUT officials also visited other schools, including Ghajnsielem Primary, Victoria Primary, Nadur Primary and Xaghra Primary. Teachers in these schools had the opportunity to meet the MUT officials and discuss personal problems.

The MUT again said that it would like to thank the respective heads for their hospitality. Both MUT officials remarked on the sterling work done by all the teaching grades in all the schools visited.

MUT officials also had the opportunity to address members at Agius de Soldanis and Sir M. Refalo Schools. MUT members said that they appreciated this visit and appealed for more such visits.

John Bencini and Kevin Bonello also met the Principal of the Gozo College, Chev. Frank Gatt. Chev Gatt explained the various initiatives the College was taking with the cooperation of all Heads and all Teaching Grades.

The MUT officials thanked Chev Gatt for his endless efforts to bring about the best out of all educators in Gozo, adding that he is to be highly commended for all his endeavours and the excellent relations between the Gozo College and MUT.
