Following the meeting with the Prime Minister last Tuesday, the 15th of January, progress has been registered vis-à-vis the MUT's claims on the Reform Agreement, the regularization of Supply categories (supply KGAs, supply LSAs and supply Teachers) according to the EU Fixed Term Contracts Directive as well as the ITS Collective Agreement.
The Principal Permanent Secretary has invited the MUT for a further meeting to discuss the issue of the Supply Categories whilst the Minister of Education, Youth and Employment has also registered his willingness to consider and discuss the MUT's claims. This augurs well for resolution of the present impasse with the education authorities in these important matters.
