The Health Division has issued a statement saying that it has been notified of a case of meningitis contracted by a university student.
The Health Division said that all necessary precautions are being taken to deal with the situation and that it would like reassure the public that there is no cause for alarm.
Severe headaches and sudden fevers are the most common symptoms of meningitis, and can also include confusion and loss of conscisousness. In the case of meningococcal meningitis, symptoms may also include rashes.
