Melita Cable announces new and improved internet packages

melita.gifMelita Cable has announced new internet packages, which, the company said, have been designed after months of market research. Over the past months despite the launch of new competitive products the company has registered strong sales as it is the only company to provide an Internet and Telephony offer at the price of Lm5.95.

In a bid to consolidate the leadership in the provision of broadband services Melita's Onvol is now launching a new product called 'RED', with 1Mbps download for the price of Lm5.95. Through this package Internet users can avail of a broadband speed connection at a very affordable rate. The RED package will only be available for residential subscribers.

Onvol is also providing existing customers with improved packages. Onvol Sonic will be the first residential Internet package with a download speed of 5Mbps and a 512K upstream connection. This will improve substantially the Internet experience of heavy users that normally utilise the web to browse and download. Moreover Onvol Sonic users will also have enhanced download limits of 20Gb per month. Download limits will also be improved for Onvol Lite customers as the download limit will be increased to 15Gb from the current 10Gb.

Even business users will benefit from enhanced packages. The new Onvol Business package will be the very first 6Mbps/512K package in Malta. With this improved package, small businesses are guaranteed of the best and most reliable Internet package possible.

"After months of intensive research, we have come up with a suite of packages that are undoubtedly the best the market has to offer," commented Franco de Gabriele, Sales and Marketing Manager. "As is common, Onvol is breaking new limits through the launch of these packages by introducing a 1Mbps package at Lm5.95 and the first ever 5Mbps and 6Mbps packages for the residential and business customer respectively. These changes are being undertaken without any increase in prices."

Melita is also the only company in Malta that provides free telephony with all Internet Onvol packages apart from the new RED package. This alongside the fact that all hello-to-hello calls are free have ensured a great response for the hello service with subscriber numbers fast approaching the 30,000 mark less than a year from launch.
