Mons. Giovanni Gauci has celebrated a Thanksgiving Mass at the Maria Assunta Cathedral in Victoria as part of Enemalta's 30th Anniversary Celebrations. During the Mass Mons. Gauci blessed the first foundation stone to be laid at the New Enemalta District Office and Distribution Centre in Xewkija . Chairman Ing. Alexander J. Tranter, Chief Executive Mr. David Spiteri Gingell and Enemalta Board Members and other Management were present.
Gozitan Enemalta employees and pensioners were also invited for this event marking the 30th Anniversary since Enemalta's inception.
Enemalta Chairman Ing.Tranter commented that industrial and economic progress is picking up the pace in Gozo and for this reason Enemalta Corporation is being proactive in ensuring an efficient electricity supply thanks to the new Distribution Centre whilst ensuring a professional customer service at the new offices to be built adjacent to the Distribution Centre.
Construction on the new District Office and Distribution Centre in Xewkija Gozo will begin later this year.
