Maltacom introduces new value-for-money plans

MaltacomMaltacom has introduced three new flexible fixed-line voice tariff plans designed to suit the usage requirements of both its residential and business customers. These tariff plans offer more value for money as customers get more free minutes in their monthly subscription, as well as reduced call rates. Two of the new tariffs - Talk 200 and Free Nights & Weekends - are for residential post-paid customers while the third tariff plan - Business Talk 500 - targets PSTN, post-paid business customers. Both new and existing Maltacom customers can benefit from these new tariffs and take advantage of significant savings on their telephone bills. All the new plans are opt-in and the current tariffs will continue to be available. "As announced earlier this month, Maltacom is introducing new tariffs in line with our customer expectations. Customers have the option to identify the plan best suited to their needs and switch to this tariff and start immediately enjoying the benefits. There is no connection charge for existing customers switching to our new tariff plans," said Keith Fearne, Maltacom's Chief Commercial Officer. "We are committed to continue providing the local market with the best value services based on secure and reliable telecom solutions, built around what our customers need. Our new tariffs guarantee substantial savings," he added. Talk 200 is a cost saving package for residential customers. With a monthly subscription of just Lm3.95, Talk 200 includes 200 free minutes every month when calling any Maltacom number at any time of the day. Calls to other fixed local networks are at 1c5 per minute for local calls. As part of the Talk 200 package, calls to mobile numbers are now charged at 10 cents a minute, charged on a per 15-second basis. This is a drop of 0.6mils per 15 seconds or 2c4 per minute. Free Nights & Weekends costs Lm5.50 a month and is designed for residential customers who have higher usage patterns. This plan provides unlimited free calls to any Maltacom number from 6pm to 8am during the week, and unlimited free calls during the weekend. Moreover, Maltacom's Free Nights and Weekends gives customers 200 free minutes when calling Maltacom numbers during the peak time band as well as a rate of 1c7 per minute when making calls to fixed local networks during peak hours and a rate of 10 cents a minute for calls to mobile. Business Talk 500 targets Maltacom's business customers who can enjoy significant savings under the new tariff. Benefits include 500 free minutes every month when calling any Maltacom number at any time of the day, as well as a reduced call rate of 1c5 per minute all day long when calling fixed line, and a rate of 10 cents a minute to mobile. The monthly subscription is Lm7.95. Maltacom will continue to offer the cheapest international calling rates as part of these plans.
