The air link between Gozo and Malta is set to start this coming week. The seaplane operated by Harbourair Malta is scheduled to begin its new service on Wednesday, replacing the former helicopter service which ceased operations last November.
The seaplane will operate between a floating pontoon located at the Valletta Waterfront in Malta and pontoon F at Mgarr harbour in Gozo. The journey time will be approximately 20 minutes, 10 minutes of flying time and 10 minutes of taxiing, the cost is set at Lm15 each way, excluding VAT.
The company will be running five round trip flights between Gozo and Malta each day, scenic flights are also scheduled for 11am and 12pm, 3pm and 7pm. The half-hour scenic flights, will cost Lm27 plus VAT.
Harbourair also offers a private charter service and trips to other islands in the vicinity of the Maltese Islands are planned for the future.
