The organisers of Lejlet Lapsi Notte Gozitana expressed their satisfaction with the attendance of the Maltese and Gozitan public to the activities which kicked off in the Gozitan capital on Friday May 18th and rounded up on Sunday, May 20th.
The success of the events was mainly attributed to the fact that the public made wide use of the public transport services which had been arranged to control traffic congestion and ensure a smooth flow, allowing people to take full part in the programme unfolding in Victoria and the Citadel over the three days.
“During the organisation of the events, our aim has consistently been to cater for all different needs, so that visitors travel, participate and find the necessary eating arrangements in comfort and peace of mind,” said artistic director Mary Ann Cauchi. “We are pleased to note that our aims were fulfilled, since those offering a service were doing so with commitment and efficiency and the public was reacting to this with great enthusiasm and interest.”
Kevin Sciberras, officer in charge of the Culture Section at the Ministry for Gozo, said: “A big thank you also goes to the police force and the public for their cooperation and civic sense shown during these days which have been determining factors in the successful management of this event for the enjoyment of all.”
