Police in Gozo are investigating the discovery of a van loaded with firework material in Triq- is-Surg, Xaghra.
Police arrived on the scene following an anonymous tip-off and discovered a considerable amount of explosive material, material related to the manufacturing of fireworks was also recovered.
Magistrate Anthony Ellul is holding an inquiry and has appointed several experts to assist.
Further police investigations are also continuing.
