The Accountant General has announced the issue of an amount not exceeding Lm50,000,000 (€116,468,670) of Government Stocks on Monday, 15th October, 2007 as follows:
(i) 5.7% Malta Government Stock 2012 (III) (Fungibility Issue), or
(ii) 5% Malta Government Stock 2021 (I) (Fungibility Issue), or of
(iii) Any combination of the above two Stocks provided the aggregate nominal value shall not exceed Lm 50,000,000
The price for each Stock shall be established four (4) working days prior to the opening of the Applications. Such price shall be announced to the Malta Stock Exchange and published in the daily local newspapers and through a Press Release to be issued by the Department of Information (DOI).
The issue closes on Friday, 19th October, 2007 at noon, or earlier, at the discretion of the Accountant General.
