The Health Division would like to remind all persons eligible for free influenza vaccine that vaccinations will start on Monday 3rd November and carry on until Saturday 22nd November from all Health Centres. The time when persons can go to receive the influenza vaccination is 10:30am to 1:00pm from Monday to Friday and 10:00am to 12 noon on Saturdays.
Persons aged 55 years and over as well as persons of any age suffering from chronic illness of the lungs, heart, liver, kidney, diabetes mellitus, or any immunodeficiency condition are eligible for free influenza vaccine. In the case of persons below 55 yrs of age, evidence of one of the above conditions needs to be confirmed by presenting a Schedule V Control Card or a recent medical certificate.
Those who have already registered for free vaccination with their Local Council should be informed by the same Council as to when the vaccinations will take place.
