Hunters and trappers met this afternoon in the parking area below the Victoria bus terminus. It was the first of two meetings organised by the Hunters Federation, which the federation said was to state the true facts on hunting and trapping and give guidance to its members.
The meeting was addressed by a number of federation officials on a platform sporting a Maltese flag bearing the message: EU/Malta hunters treaty is based on betrayal and misrepresentation of material facts rendering it null and void. “EU, do not use your tiniest member state to send messages to other member states.”
The second mass meeting is to be held tomorrow morning in Rabat, Malta.
