A hold-up took place this morning at the Arkadia Shopping Centre in Victoria, the two armed robbers escaped with a Bank of Valletta ATM cassette and were aided by a third person.
The robbery took place whilst Group 4 security personnel were picking up the cassette from Arkadia earlier this morning.
The amount of cash contained in the cassete is not known at this time, but it has been reported that it could be a substantial amount.
A police spokesman said that no-one was injured in the robbery and investigations are of course continuing.
