Heritage Malta's next trail will focus on Gozo and its folklore with an event named the Gran Castello Experience at the end of the month.
The trail will take participants around The Citadel's fortifications and feature three actors re-enacting the legend of the finding of a golden calf on the hills of Ta' Gelmus, the story of Bernando D'Opuo, the 1551 siege.
An exhibition of recently acquired traditional objects such as kitchen utensils and agricultural tools will be inaugurated at the Heritage Malta Gozo area office prior to the trail. The exhibition will be on throughout July and August and admission is free.
Following the trail, participants can enjoy two sessions of poetry narration with a barbecue in between. The event will take place on June 28 at 7.15 p.m. It will host a maximum of 100 persons. Bookings can be made at the Heritage Malta head office in Valletta by calling 2295 4312 or at the Gozo area office on 2156 4188.
Tickets cost Lm6 for adults and Lm4 for children under 12, including the barbecue and a drink.
