The current heatwave is unfortunately set to continue until Wednesday with daytime temperatures in the high thirties, and possibly going as high as 40 degrees celcius. Thursday should hopefully see the return of more moderate temperatures in the lower thirties.
Fluid intake should be increased and the public have been advised not to go out in the heat of the sun during the peak hours. If anyone requires medical assistance or advice on heat related symptons, they can do so by visiting their nearest government health centre.
