Parts of Gozo were blanketed in white this morning, after a freak hailstorm hit the island during a severe thunderstorm, fortunately the storm was shortlived and there were no reports of any damage or flooding.
The Gozo Weather Station in Victoria recorded just 10mm of rain in the short time that the storm lasted, 7.8mm was recorded at Xewkija.
There could be more such weather in store, the weekend forecast is for strong winds of force 7-8 with further thunderstorms possible.
