Nursing aides at Gozo General Hospital are taking what is termed as 'symbolic action' by not using the punch clock when commencing their shift. The action has been ordered by the General Workers Union.
The union said an agreement had been reached with the authorities that nursing aides at state hospitals should sign in rather than use the punch clock, the agreement was being respected in Malta, but not in Gozo.
