A Gozitan man was fined Lm100 after pleading guilty to damaging a shop’s window in Marsalforn in Gozo.
Emanuel Xerri, from Marsalforn, admitted to damaging the window of a shop, Glass Box, on the night between 30 April and 1 May this year. He also pleaded guilty to breaching the peace and causing disorder on the night in question as well as to threatening Mary Bezzina, the shop’s owner, Kenneth Cutajar and Joseph Formosa.
Handing down her judgement, Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera fined the man Lm100 after considering that he had eight convictions on his criminal record and that he had already paid for the damage he caused and that Ms Bezzina had forgiven him.
Police Superintendent Paul Camilleri prosecuted.
