Government Units for sale at subsidised prices

Government Units for Sale at Subsidised PricesThe Housing Authority is issuing a total of 152 units for sale at subsidised prices. There are 137 apartments and 15 maisonettes in various localities in Malta and Gozo. The properties are located in Birkirkara, Kirkop, Marsaxlokk, Mellieha, Mgarr, Mriehel, Mtarfa, Naxxar, Pembroke, Qawra, Tarxien, Zebbug, Zejtun, Zurrieq and Xewkija in Gozo.

There are 101 properties with 3 bedrooms, 42 with 2 bedrooms and 9 properties with one bedroom on offer. The average subsidized price of a 3 bedroom unit is €91,786, the average subsidized price of a 2 bedroom unit is €77,095 while the average subsidized price of a one bedroom unit is €55,218. The apartments are being sold finished or semi-finished.

All the properties have environmental friendly measures including roof insulation, double glazing, louvres and wells. Space has also been prepared for solar water heaters which shall be installed by the future owners.

The scheme will be opened on the 1st of December 2008.

The applications are to be collected from the Housing Authority at 22, Pietro Floriani Street, Floriana or from 25, Enrico Mizzi Street, Victoria Gozo between Monday the 1st of December and Friday the 19th of December 2008, both dates inclusive, and are to be returned at the same premises between Monday the 5th of January and Friday the 16th of January 2009.

The opening hours of the Customer Care Offices are between 8.00 a.m. and 12.00 Noon.
