Ghajnsielem students visit Tolfa, Italy

The Ghajnsielem Local Council recently organized a five-day cultural visit to Tolfa, Italy for the Year 6 Primary school students. The trip was made possible thanks to the European Union Student Exchange Programme. Tolfa and Ghajnsielem been officially twinned for the past five years.
Mayor Francis Cauchi said that the main aim behind the second student exchange visit to Tolfa was to share the student's experiences with each other, make new friends and learn about each other's culture. Education Minister Hon. Louis Galea was also a special guest of the Ghajnsielem Local Council during this trip.
The children were accompanied by their parents, the head of school, teachers and members of the twinning committee. Many took the opportunity to be present for the canonisation of San Gorg Preca at the Vatican.
